Setting your password for the first time
When someone adds you to Platinum Strand, you're emailed a link to choose your own password. Nobody else ever sees it — no password is sent by email.

Open the email and click the link
Look for an email called “Your Platinum Strand account for …”.
Make a note of the Organisation it shows A — you'll type it every time you sign in. Then click Choose your password B.

Choose your password
The page says Choose a new password — that's right, even though it's your first one.
- CNew password — at least 8 characters.
- DConfirm password — the same again.
Click Reset password E.

Sign in for the first time
You're taken to the Sign in page, which says “Your password has been reset — please sign in.”
Type the Organisation from the email, your Email, then your new password. See Signing in if you need a hand.
💡 Tips
The link works once and lasts 7 days — the email shows the exact date.
⚠️ If it goes wrong
Page says Link unavailable? The link has expired, been used, or been replaced by a newer one. Click Request a new link and enter your organisation and email — a fresh link arrives within a minute or two (that one lasts an hour).
Got more than one email? Each new link cancels the earlier ones. Always use the newest.
No email at all? Check your junk folder. Then ask the person who added you to resend it.
“The two passwords don't match.” or “Choose a password of at least 8 characters.” Retype both boxes.
